as Co-chairperson,

SCHWING and Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group
agree on strategic partnership
Herne, 19 April 2012. SCHWING Group ("SCHWING"), international leading system supplier for
concrete machinery in the premium sector as well as parent company of Stetter GmbH and
Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group ("XCMG"), the seventh biggest construction machinery
manufacturer in the world and the no. 1 in China, plan to enter a strategic partnership. XCMG will
acquire a majority interest in SCHWING. The German traditional manufacturer under the
leadership of CEO Gerhard Schwing will complement the product portfolio of XCMG in the
premium segment in the growing Chinese concrete machinery market as well as the worldwide
production, service and distribution network outside China. The SCHWING management remains
in Herne and will continue to work independently. .

SSI opens New Customer Training Centres at Delhi and Kolkata
As the Indian concreting market improves there is a demand for trained operators for getting the optimum performance out of the machines. In view of this we have opened two new training schools at Delhi and Kolkata. These two schools, along with our hugely successful school at Chennai shall train operators in the operation of all SSI products.

New conveyor feeding system for CP 30:
A new conveyor belt based feeding system for the Cp30 has been launched. Feedback from the customer has been extremely positive and this system is available on demand.

CSR: Traffic dividers:
As part of our commitment to environment and society, we have distributed traffic barricades to Tamil Nadu traffic police on the Chennai-Kancheepuram & Chennai-Tiruteni-Tirupati highways. These are being especially useful for regulating traffic near schools in those areas

SSI held a blood donation camp on the 13th of June 2011 for it’s employees to donate blood. The camp was held in alliance with the Madras Volunteer Blood Association.
